What is Cyber Guard AI?
Cyber Guard AI is an AI-powered safety tool that helps parents keep their children safe on WhatsApp. It analyzes text and voice messages in real time and sends you alerts when concerning content is detected, plus a daily safety summary by email.
How does it work?
You link your child's WhatsApp by scanning a QR code — just like connecting WhatsApp Web. Once connected, our AI automatically analyzes incoming messages and voice notes, flagging potential risks like cyberbullying or aggressive behavior.
Do I need to install an app on my child's phone?
No. The connection is made by scanning a QR code from your child's phone — no app installation is required on their device.
Will my child know I've linked their WhatsApp?
Yes. Cyber Guard AI uses WhatsApp's official Linked Devices feature — the same one WhatsApp Web uses — so the link appears in your child's WhatsApp under Settings → Linked Devices, and they can disconnect it at any time. We recommend having an open conversation with your child before activating the service.
Is it legal to monitor my child's WhatsApp?
Laws on monitoring a minor's communications vary by jurisdiction. In many places, parental monitoring of your own minor child is permitted, but some jurisdictions require all-party consent. We strongly recommend consulting a legal professional in your area before using the service.
Is Cyber Guard AI affiliated with WhatsApp?
No. Cyber Guard AI is not an official WhatsApp product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta in any way.
What types of content can it detect?
Currently, the AI analyzes text messages and voice messages (which are automatically transcribed). Image and video analysis are coming soon, adding even more layers of protection.
Will it catch everything?
No automated system can guarantee detection of all harmful content. Our AI may occasionally miss threats (false negatives) or flag harmless content (false positives). Cyber Guard AI is an informational tool to assist you — it is not a substitute for active parental involvement.
What data do you collect?
We process your account information (email, name) and your child's WhatsApp message content for AI analysis. We also collect basic device and connection metadata needed for the service to function.
Do you sell or share my child's data?
Never. Your data is never sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Message content is shared only with our AI analysis provider under strict data processing agreements, solely for child safety analysis.
How long is data stored?
Message data is stored for a maximum of 7 days. When you remove a linked account, all associated data is deleted immediately and irreversibly.
How do I disconnect or delete my data?
You can disconnect the linked WhatsApp account at any time. When you do, all associated message data — including messages, media, AI analysis results, and database records — is deleted immediately and permanently from all our systems.
